Grade 5 Mass - 12/7/07

ACADEMICS

Religion

This Is Our Faith- Silver Burdett Ginn

Grade 5 centers on a study of the seven sacraments. The persons of the Trinity are presented as they relate to the sacraments. The Church is also seen as a sacrament- the sign to the world of the love of God for all people. The students learn that people are the best sign of God's presence. The fifth graders' understanding of morality is strengthened as they learn what it means to live as faithful followers of Jesus.

The textbook is supplemented with worksheets, reports, projects and trade books. The 5th grade is responsible for preparing the school Mass in December.

English
