Saint Mary of the Hills School employs an Academic Advisor, Mrs. Maureen Brinn, whose primary responsibility is to enhance the educational development of all students. Mrs. Brinn is available in the Learning Center for those students who are in need of individual or small group instruction or who may need additional academic support. All academic accommodations for students are considered on a case-by-case basis, the goal being to develop strategies that will help the student meet the schools academic demands. In order to determine a student’s individual needs, an evaluation is done by researching the student’s past performance, as well as communicating with student’s parents and teachers. Services are then adapted according to the learning style of the student. All accommodations are made with the idea that they are short term in nature.

Mrs. Brinn is also available to help those students who need to refine their organizational skills, study habits and time management. She also handles referrals for testing, prepares student accommodations plans and acts as a liaison, along with the classroom teacher, for students and their families.
