St. Francis Award
| On Friday, December 5, 2008, at an awards ceremony for Grades 1 through
4, the first St. Francis Awards were given out. This award is newly initiated
and students were chosen by their teachers based on the following qualities
in his or her daily life at St. Marys: humility, love, gentleness, kindness,
respect, fairness, faith and forgiveness. This was a very difficult task,
but we are proud and pleased to announce that eight recipients received
this award.
The next St. Francis Award will be given out in January during Catholic Schools Week. Faculty or staff can nominate a child in Grades 1 through 4 who consistently exemplifies the qualities lived by St. Francis. |
