On Monday, March 23rd Mr. Kantigi Camara from the John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute at Northeastern University, father of Mariama Camara, came to speak with the fourth grade class about famous African Americans who have been commemorated on postage stamps throughout the world. The fourth graders recognized many of the famous African Americans from their recent biography book reports and a class "Talk-Show" research project that they presented on famous African Americans in history. The presentation was informative and entertaining for students and teachers as well. Thanks to Mr. Camara for sharing his knowledge with our class!
