9:45-10:30 LANGUAGE: Morning lesson instruction/story. Children explore explore letters/sounds in print by working on projects or in centers relating to the theme or letter
of the week

10:30-10:55 SNACK AND RECESS

10:55-11:30 MATH: Direct instruction followed by hands on work on numeral recognition, associating quantities, sorting, patterning

11:30-11:40 CLEAN-UP/PREPARE FOR LUNCH

11:45-12:10 LUNCH (in Main School)

12:10-12:30 LUNCH RECESS

12:30-1:10 REST

1:10-1:30 RELIGION

1:30-2:00 COMPUTER (PreK1 & PreK2 rotate every other Wednesday afternoon only)

1:30-2:15 FREE EXPLORATION: Children select activities of particular interest to them and play in groups, as partners or individually depending on the activity chosen (blocks, dramatic play, manipulatives, sand & water, clay, etc.)

2:15-2:30 STORY TIME

2:30-2:40 PREPARE FOR DISMISSAL/PRAYER

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SAMPLE SCHEDULE. TEACHERS OFTEN WILL AND DO ALTER THE SCHEDULE TO ACCOMODATE FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS AND EVENTS, AS WELL AS FOR MUSIC, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND LIBRARY (see enclosed specials schedule).

N.B.: Children are allowed to use the bathroom anytime throughout the day. However, they MUST ask permission to leave the classroom.
