Bible Study
Bible Study is conducted twice a year. The first series starts the Saturday after the First Sunday of Advent. The second series starts the Saturday after Easter. The number of sessions depends on the study guides that are used. Materials are provided and the sessions are held in the Rectory conference room, beginning at 10:00 AM
The Little Rock Bible Study method is followed.
The Little Rock Bible Study method is followed.
- Study – each lesson in the study guide is divided in six days so that participants can reflect on three questions a day.
- Sharing – the participants have the opportunity to share their reflections on the Scripture. Participants have the option to just listen to the others sharing.
- Commentary – After the sharing the facilitator(s) will give information that develops a deeper understanding of the scripture assigned.
Bible Study helps us to be able to understand the Bible as aid to deepening our faith.
Pope Benedict has said: “To be ignorant of the Scriptures is to be ignorant of Christ.”
