The St. Mary of the Hills community congratulates you as you welcome your new child.

The very fact that you asked to have your child baptized is a sure sign that you recognize the importance of God in your life. Your child’s baptism is only the beginning of a new life in which you will grow closer to one another in the family and closer to God.   

Parents may choose to have their baptized at Sunday Mass (10:15 or Noon) on the first Sunday of the month or at 1:30 P.M. on the last Sunday of the month. Please contact the Pastor for a time other than the above times.

Baptism Preparation Session – Just as there are preparations for receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony, so there is a session to prepare the parents for this Sacrament. This is held on third Thursday of each month in the Rectory. Parents should plan to attend this session in advance of the child’s baptism.

Please make known to the Pastor any special circumstances such as: the baby was baptized in the hospital or emergency (ceremonies need to be supplied); proxy god-parents, parents live outside the parish or invalid marriage , before setting a date for the baptism.
